Port Towns Musical Mural Dedication

ImageJoe Stanley, Patsy Cline, Roy Buchanan, Ruth Brown, Link Wray, Wanda Jackson, and Bobby Parker- today few people know the monumentous impact these individuals have had on the development of music.  Perhaps even fewer residents of the Port Towns know that these individuals lived or played in the Port Towns.   But now that's all set to change with the dedication of the a new Port Towns Youth mural- this one on the musical history of the Port Towns.

According to Lisa Robison, a local resident and activist, "The Port Towns Youth Musical Mural Dedication was delightful, refreshing, and inspirational." 

The dedication, held on Sunday July 27th 2008, drew over 50 people and featured live music by time period accurate artists.  Ms. Robsinson continued, "I LOVED the music and I know the artwork is going to have a major influence on the diverse community."
